Quote from: mrconservative on April 27, 2016, 10:58:06 AMYes, while it is a bit premature to announce a VP choice at this time, Cruz has to do something to shift the narrative away from Trump right now.

I can see that.  It's now a media game.

Trump just gave a 45 minute speech on foreign policy, which all the talking heads are dissecting.

Trump does have a knack for getting attention, so I guess that's how to get people to pay attention to you.
The danger to America is not Barack Obama but the citizens capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency.

Trumps also doing a full 1 hour town hall on reGreta tonight. Im sure he will attempt to say something to take attention away from Cruz's Fiorina announcement. If you're wondering "I thought Trump did a town hall with reGreta on Monday", thats cause he did but is now doing another tonight.

this is it for me. I would have preferred someone else but at least he gets a news cycle out of it. I thought Trumps foriegn policy speech was decent too so it takes away from that.

You really think his "foriegn policy" speech was decent...? You do realize Trump thinks and said the Italians were attack on 9/11 in that speech.

Trump BLURTS out 9/11 was tragic because ITALIANS were attacked in foreign policy speech!

i liked some of the ideas. My favorite was

"when the other side knows your not willing to walk it becomes impossible to win"

Foreign Policy means anything having to do with any country outside of the United States.

You do know that during his Foreign Policy rambling, there was not one mention, zero mention of Mexico or the wall - the main thing, the top thing that Trump is running on...?

It's gone.   Bait and switch.   Cheap Mexican labor is here to stay, they got more Trump properties to clean...

Seriously, to start billing foreign countries for our protection or anything like that - WHAT A MORON.
Putin is licking his chops, "Hey little dictator, we'll do it for nothing!  Just give us a few acres for a handul of ICBMs."  From the guy who ought to know, "Money Talks Commands", these half-broke little countries rely on foreign aid.

What am I missing?  I couldn't find any reference to "Italians".

This is a close as I could find in his speech....

"A pause for reassessment will help us to prevent the next San Bernardino or frankly, much worse. All you have to do is look at the World Trade Center and September 11th, one of the great catastrophes, in my opinion, the single greatest military catastrophe in the history of our country; worse than Pearl Harbor because you take a look at what's happened, and citizens were attacked, as opposed to the military being attacked — one of the true great catastrophes."

If you watch the video they have posted listen closely and trump makes the goof in the very beginning. He does catch himself so you have to listen carefully
