That is the whole argument isn't it. They can confiscate because we registered them. The baddies don't do that so they never have to worry about having their guns taken from them.

A state assemblyman held up a list of rejected Democratic proposal, that none of you have read, and based solely on one man's statement, you have decided that all Democrats want to register and take your guns? I don't even think Evil Knievel could make that leap, lol.

I am definitely liberal, but I don't want, nor do I believe a law like that would ever pass, let alone be deemed constitutional. However, part of negotiating is putting more on the table then you expect to gain. It's how you start a negotiation. My guess, because as I said none of have seen this alleged "proof", is that this was nothing more then the beginning a discussion.

We also factor in Precedent, bills in congress and what the Democrats are saying now...

What precedent exists, allowing guns to be confiscated? Even the assault weapons ban had a grandfather clause. If I'm miss informed, please correct me, but that's how I understand it.

Awesome rant. If there was an Academy award for best dramatic performance in a political thread about guns you would beat out Dame Helen Mirren, Johnny Depp and David Hasselhoff no problem.

I am referring to Chicago being the most dangerous city in the country yet having some of the most draconian gun control laws in the country. Including hand guns...

If the liberals are right about guns Chicago would be a utopia full of unicorns and fairy dust....

Seriously? That's the strongest argument you have? The only thing I found in Chicago gun control laws, that includes confiscation, was the volunteer program I mentioned earlier. If I am missing something, I'm happy to be educated, and admit that I am wrong.
