Obama: How Things Have Changed
By Richard Okelberry, April 25^th, 2011 - I recently came across this montage clip of then presidential candidate Obama talking about the War in Iraq.  This compilation was put together by the Obama campaign to illustrate how he was against the war from the beginning in an attempt to win over the anti-war/anti-Bush crowd.  Of course this video screams out in irony when his words are compared to his position regarding our involvement in the current Libyan civil war.  Also, consider that Obama speaks here about bringing the troops home from Iraq immediately. 

Congress has still not authorized the use of military force in Libya and not once has President Obama publically argued that Libya presented a direct and immediate threat to the United States.

He said he wanted higher gas prices, we got them, he said electricity rates will sky rocket, its happening, he said we should cut back on the use of oil, hes killing us...

He may have lied about a lot of things, but he didn't lie about how he planned on screwing us, its just that the left was so damned mesmerized, that they never listened and read between the lines when he spoke.

John Kennedy thought HE would get eight years, but was shot down by a Cuban communist sympathizer even more left-wing than he was. Bobby Kennedy thought he'd get eight years, too, until he was shot down by a Palestinian even more left-wing than he was.

Not all, because sometimes you have the other party in charge of the both Houses.
Hussein had both Houses, and still broke tons of promises.
Border security, Guantanamo, Iraq...etc....
Bush Senior broke one of his main promises of not raising taxes, but the Dims forced his hand and he had to raise them, then they campaigned against him in his second run.

Thing is, don't make promises you intend to break, that is where the damage sets in and the Dim party will pay heavily come 2012 for it.

I would have included Martin Luther King Jr. in that list, but as I recall, James Earl Ray had conflicting stories on why he'd done it. One account was King was too far to the right (not surprising; both Sr. and Jr. were Republicans). In other versions Ray offered other reasons.

Sadly, the POTUS is everyones problem when he breaks promises, he has an effect on not just our Nation, but the World.
