I love peeling that bread apart.  That's one of my fave chain places.

We have a Mediterranean Restaurant nearby that makes their own fresh pita in a brick oven.  It puffs up and has a wonderful flavor.  Sometimes I drop by there and just buy a bag of bread.  Terrific with fresh humus.

I buy my sandwich bread at La Madeleine's French restaurant and bakery.  It is seven grains and has no preservatives.  My husband and I are addicted to it.

The Europeans really know how to make bread.  In Europe the people frequently buy fresh warm bread every morning.  It is very crusty.  Traveling there made us appreciate the real joy of eating GOOD bread.  Even when we lived in Saudi, we bought fresh bread as it was removed from primitive brick ovens.

So we are spoiled.  I would never buy bread in a supermarket anymore!

Bribery is accepting something of value in exchange for letting a person go who has committed a crime....that is and should be a FELONY

However there is a big difference in accepting a GRATUITY over a bribe.

Most depts have rules about accepting Gratuities WHICH ARE NOT ILLEGAL. Giving officers free meals or DISCOUNTS on products and services are an example of Gratuities. I notice lots of places give discounts to ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY, OTHER publiC service first responders,  but looking at it from the angle that it WILL ATTRACT MORE CUSTOMERS AND YOU'll MAKE OUT EVEN WITH A 10% DISCOUNT FOR SOME OF them SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD BUSINESS PRACTIcE.

Lots of Cops I knew didn't like to take Gratuities even though it was legal. (I'm one of them) I know that when some cops were given a free meal they used to leave REAL BIG TIPS to cover the cost of the meal.

It's sad how people under 30 have been so brainwashed by the leftist media and their hatred for authority.

Most of us were also idealistic until we met the real world. Today, most millennials continue in a fantasy world. I believe the reason is a combination poor parenting and liberal academia with loss of values in our government education systems. They have no core to build upon.

Do you ever bake bread?  I occasionally get a bug to make it.  You can flavor it with anything.  I like to use dill.

Have sourdough starter on the counter as we speak.

I think Elfie was going to make that some time back.  When you told her how to do it.
