Right. They should just leave the gates closed, let the flood waters come and then wait for the gates to be torn from the hinges or sections of the wall just collapse.

If rain, hard rain, flooding rain, massive flooding rain, is in the forecast, gates can be opened. But that is not the problem, the problem is now they can not be closed. Illegals are flooding across and nobody is stopping them. I asked you another question that you ignored, what is the fence for? Why are the gates there? Let me give you a hint, the fence is to keep out people who are coming in to this country illegally, the gates are there to be opened when needed. By welding them open, the fence is destroyed. NOBODY is suggesting for the gates to be destroyed in flood waters, just another strawman you are using.

Let's not act like the gates have to be open at all. They can make a drainage system for the flooding.

As 3 different articles mentioned, the people who cross there are processed by CBP just like they would at any port of entry.  The fence being open just means nothing.  If they didn't cross/surrender there, they'd do it up the road at the port of entry.

They are not being processed, at best their journey into this country is only delayed for a short while. They are given a court date, years in the future. That is not being processed. If they were being processed the drugs, the gangs, the children for sale would not be going on. THE FENCE BEING CLOSED WOULD STOP THIS. WE HAVE NO IDEA WHO IS COMING INTO THIS COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The process they are going through is a sham.  Where is the link that shows that criminals, drugs, gang members, ETC. are not able to get into this country, where is the link that shows everyone is getting tested for disease, ARE YOU GETTTING THE POINT YET?? Illegals are coming in by the thousands. There is no vetting.

Your opinion of the process is irrelevant in this discussion. The fence was intentionally designed with gates that can open because allowing rushing water against it compromises the structural integrity of defense. When the dates are open, there are CB p agents there to process people in the exact same way they be processed at any port of entry.

again, the existence of the gates in the wall are for a reason. If the gates are open, then people come through them in our process as they would be at a normal point of entry or anywhere else that they surrendered to a customs and border patrol agents. You may not like the process. You may think it's a sham. But that does not change the reality of the gates or how the gates being open is handled.

BUll crap. If they can go through a "normal" port, WHY ARE THEY COMING IN THROUGHT THE GATES!!!  Gates are not made to be welded open. There is no process.
