Putin is really screwing up lately. Back in February the assumption was Russia would attack every petrol depot, stop the trains, send troops into only the pro-Russian areas and then set up fortifications. Turned out that was never the plan, I guess he did not want the EU to get upset with him. Now here we are, Putin can either start now or pull out. Things were acceptable to the Russian public until this week.

This is snowballing with Azerbaijan now attacking Armenia, openly defying the Russian peace guarantor. If Russia does not press these "guarantees" they will all be considered worthless. The whole Russian system of Asian agreements can unravel.

The Russian economy is doing fine. I guess maybe he was trying to balance too many things at once. The electric grid at the front lines were hit for the first time, so maybe Putin will act like he is trying to win.

He's just a guy with an opinion who carries no weight. Putin is playing the long slow game, he has Europe by the nuts, regardless what NATO does, Europe is on the verge of collapse.
If Putin were to escalate at this point in time, he'd look weak and it would weaken his position.

Not only that, but Zelensky doesn't even own a suit and tie.  I've never seen him in one.

I saw an article a couple days ago whereby it stated that "a number" of Putin's political affiliates are calling for him to step down.  Get out of the way.
