Yeah, I thought the same thing when he started to choke up. Kind of like he knows his future is short and didn't want to burden his audience.

I never listened to an entire program of his until this year and I actually found it an extremely thought provoking show with surprisingly in depth analysis.

Stage 4 lung  cancer is  hard to beat. Amazing  he has done as well as  he  has. Godspeed

You aren't supposed to inhale cigars but, most do even if they don't realize it. Even if one escapes without lung Cancer, mouth Cancer, throat Cancer, tonsil Cancer or some other illness is not "better". I've lost several family members to Cancer and none of them enjoyed it.

I got the impression that it may be his last broadcast.  Rush mentioned he was not expected to last past the middle of the year.

I'm glad I started listening again this year.  I wrote him an email earlier this year about how he influenced me to get involved in politics.  I told Rush the story of my work to get Paul Horcher recalled when he started voting with democrats in the state House.  I took a tarred and feather likeness of Horcher up to Sacramento and put it on the steps of the capital building.  I was surprised to get a gift photo of Rush receiving the medal of freedom.

I heard the show.  He said he'd be back after the first of the year.  I thought it was the caller or two before he got emotional.  The caller sounded like he was even more emotional and went on about how he didn't know what he'd do if Rush was gone.  Not sure, but that's what I heard.

But he did say he'd beat the odds so far and didn't know how much longer he might be able to do that.  There is no doubt we have the best medical care in the World, I don't care what the marxist say, and of course they think Cuba has the best medical.

The Bull Shit you hear or in the media is leftist funded research designed to kill the cigarette industry, an industry that's somewhat deserving of the exposure they received for the chemical enhancements to their product.

Cigars have no additives, period, just a plant people enjoy, To equate the two is beyond disingenuous, it's a lie. George burns smoked his entire career and died of old age.
So stop spreading anecdotal BS, for all we know, it could have been his opioid addiction that caused his cancer, after all, it did destroy his hearing.
