As popular as Trump and Cruz are it is feasible that neither would go into the convention with the magic number of delegates.  Therein lies the potential for a problem.  Neither will want to hand their delegates to the other.  That is why the lesser candidates could become a king maker.  They could decide if it will be Trump or Cruz!

Cruz would never sell out his base and support a lib like trump.
If Trump honestly loves this country, he'd hand over his support to Cruz after Iowa, but I wouldn't count on it, Trump's run was never about the country.

But quite honestly, I don't see it as an issue, Cruz will wind up with the numbers needed to cinch this election.

I totally agree with that.

This is pure conjecture.... trying to explain why the bottom tier candidates keep hanging on.
