He is better than Trump, though.  You have to give him that.

I worry that Carson may be too demure in a time when courage, action and vigilance is past due.
One more liberal President in 2016 will mean the irreversible, eventual and total demise of our democracy. The rise and fall of democracy IS past the "apathy stage" at this moment. If this  momentum continues on its present path, restoration of democracy will require the least desired of actions.

Unfortunately for Carson, this political shake up in his campaign staff has occurred much to late into the campaign.  Changing gears in the home stretch is almost certainly disastrous.

Agreed. It's a shame as far as I'm concerned. Even with his potential faults as POTUS, when I initially saw and heard the man speak, I thought to myself "This may well be the first honorable candidate I've ever seen". Where was he when the nation was ready for the first Black President? Oh well, Obozo probably would have beat him anyway with his "golden tongue".

Yes I agree.  Carson is a very nice man with much to admire about his life.

I take it you weren't lucky enough to experience Reagan?

Carson's campaign was in trouble, as far as I am concerned, when he decided semi-auto weapons were anathema in a big city environment.

I agree.  I think he backtracked that statement.

But once words are spoken you really cannot take them back.

Thanks for sharing that. I haven't seen his quote before or heard it. Not good. It doesn't set well with me at all either. The 2nd amendment doesn't specify that the right to keep and bear arms is determined by a specified population. Hmmm.

Yup - we need well-reasoned, strong leadership - I should really say, strong representation in a President.
Really tired of being mis-represented, "The American People this & that...", so I look around, and don't know who the heck this guy is talking about, he's talking down to me, though...   It is about time the true consensus of the American people hear their voice in a strong, singular echo, coming from the White House - no more divisiveness.

Ben Carson, nice guy, has a heartwarming tone, for heartwarming times - which this is not.  The country is being flooded with dangerous illegals, and any suggestion of disarming in the face of that threat, is stupid.

Well said, hoofer.

I think that was one time in which Carson engaged his mouth before his brain.  And it fell flat with the GOP voters.

That is only one reason why I do not expect his poll numbers to ever go north again.

If I could whisper one thing in Ben Carson's ear, it would be, "Ben, we love ya, now it's time to gracefully go home."

Yes!  Especially this election cycle!  The bottom tier of candidates are sticking like glue!

All I can surmise is that they are trying to pick up a handful of delegates that would give them a bit of leverage in a divided Convention.  If Cruz and Trump are so close that neither get the needed number of delegates in the Primaries, then these guys with a handful of delegates could barter their delegates for a position in the next Administration.

Like I posted earlier.... this is certainly not a "standard" election cycle!!

It could change tomorrow but for the last couple months Trump and Cruz together hold the majority of the electorate. If they go into the convention with the support they show now between them they will own the convention.

Carson is one of those guys who sounds like he got suckered into running, had some $ pouring in for a bit, and didn't realize he was expected to WIN an election - until the 4th debate.  I get the feeling some wealthy donors are TRYING to keep the field bloated - Carson being a tool of them...  'getting paid to keep running'?

Absolutely!   It's about redirecting 'power & influence' by keeping your losing candidate in the mix.
