What bugs me about this is that Trump (no, I'm not a supporter) signed the stupid RNC pledge to support whomever the eventual Republican nominee may be, and not run a 3rd party campaign!

Now, when it looks like that nominee might actually end up being Trump, the GOP is looking for ways to wiggle out of the deal!

One way. A brokered (or as I call it, broken) convention. Where the GOPe simply anoint someone else that they like, as the GOP candidate.

Rather than who we the people (the base) actually approve of, or vote for in the primaries. If that happens, then the GOP will lose. And they should too fwiw.

First of all, if Jeb were in Trump's place there would be no talk about a brokered Convention!!

The GOPe is trying to prepare the voters for their shenanigans by publicly talking about a brokered convention.  They will attempt to undermine the conservative leader going into the Convention by getting the super delegates to not support the conservative. 

If the leader does not have an overwhelming number of delegates at the end of the primary race, the GOPe will attempt to get delegates to switch their votes at the convention.  If no one wins on the first ballot, then all the rules change.  Most of the delegates are released from their candidate commitment and the GOPe will attempt to buy their votes.

If you remember at the last Convention John Bohner manipulated the process by calling for an oral vote which was already determined.... as we read on the teleprompter.  So, the RINOs are certainly not above manipulating the process to their advantage.

BUT, they are in for a rude awakening if they try to rob this nomination.  Voters will bolt and run.

Clearly the GOPe is preparing for what they are beginning to believe is going to happen.  Their guy will loose!

They are pulling an old proven leftist ploy, where first you float a balloon and see what the response is.
Personally, from all the comments around the web, the GOP'e failed miserably and wound up losing even more credibility, if that is even possible.
