I read as you do. There is no mention of the feds and it is a state law so it stands to reason the additional investigation would be conducted by a state agency.
Then I wasn't totally brain dead?

I think I see Billies point though, and the NY article exemplifies it.
Walker opens the door and NY commies tout it as a good plan, yet incomplete and expand the hell out of it, creating the slippery slope.
But that in no way is Walkers fault. That's akin to claiming charity is the seed of taxation.

Sounds more like NY is looking for an excuse, so as not to be the first State giving up citizens liberties to the Fed.
Most states fight to retain sovereignty, but NY commies are more than willing to sacrifice liberty for what they consider the greater good.
They need to just give up Statehood and become a province like DC, and call it a day.

I like Walker - a lot!

I'm not so crazy about Walker and Cruz as a ticket. We need Cruz in the Senate - there is definitely a leadership deficit there and we need all of the strong leadership types we can get in the Senate.

Call me crazy, but I like a Walker/Palin ticket!

Both are or have been governors with proven leadership ability. And both are not the least bit intimidated by the MSM or the Democrat attack machine.

We could do worse - a lot worse!
or maybe... Walker - West!  Obama has done so much to hurt race relations and our military, Alan West could really be helpful as a VP who could provide Leadership in both these areas!

I don't see how an outside investigation would usurp the powers of the DA in their use of a grand jury.
It would appear, that once the State investigation is complete, it is then turned over to the DA.

As to the NY article, those commies are full of shit in claiming Walker's Bill is in anyway the same, when they plan to take it to the next level and make it a Fed issue.
I could be wrong in reading it, but it doesn't appear to remove the grand jury, rather add a separate leg to the investigative process. As long as it stays State business, then I see no issue.
Did I read it correctly? I've had a long day and really need to hit the sack early, so I may have missed something.

The problem is the bill  is not specific enough, OUTSIDE AGency can mean anything or anybody, ESPECIALLY THE FEDS. AND There is no continuity of the investigation....is there to be a parallel investigation? By WHom...speaking from experience if you really want to Fk something up try and run a "parallel investigation"....especially BEFORE it goes to the grand jury.

This is precisely what Holder is trying to do...think about it....even if the case goes through internal affairs,(The headhunters) review by the office of the Chief, (Political appointee)then To the Prosecutor and CLEARS a GRAND JURY OF ONES PEERS then it has to go to an outside agency?  Would they have the power to bring ti to a FEDERAL grand jury on Civil rights violation???? AS HOLDER WANTS IN ALL POLICE MINORITY CASES????

I've seen several news clips were various Leftist COngress specifically mentioned this Bill and how Walker...A Republican conservative" modeled it and supports it...blah blah blah.

Walker was told about this BEFORE he drafted the bill, He was warned about Holder and the lefts "Ombudsman" agenda
he did it anyway in his dislike for all things Public sector union.

All great points. I'm just going to have to read the Bill in it's entirety, because if there is no provisions to eliminate the Feds involvement, then this is seriously oiling down the slippery slope.

Don't the Feds themselves have rules to were they have to be asked in? Requested? Wouldn't the state still have the authority to repeal this law if the feds abuse it? This is just making something out of nothing!

True, unless the language of the Bill has an open invite, which is why I want to read the Bill.
It may be much ado about nothing, or a monstrous can O worms.

I still have more faith in Walker dotting his I's and crossing his T's, than leaving an open wound, allowing for usurpation the law.

I could go with that ticket too.

Based on my personal experience, I don't think your average military member really cares who is president - as long as it's not a Democrat!

Walker/West would be an interesting ticket. The lefties would go full bore trying to destroy West. If he moved the Black vote from 10% to 20% it would be a killer for democrats.  He is also not afraid to take heat and give it. That fits perfectly with Walker's low key, but tough approach.

Excellent point about West.. I think he'd be perfect for any position.
I'd like to see Cruz snag him for VP.

Let's not forget that our president is not elected by a popular vote. He/she is elected by the Electoral College.

And increase of 10% in heavily Democrat districts will not make a dime's worth of difference at the end of the day.

Possible felon?

You're not a Republican. You're not even a RINO. Only a Libtard talks like that.

And only a Libtard Troll would claim to be a "Centrist" and pretend to be a Republican.
