Title: A brilliant fake: Dr. Who Meets Sherklock Holmes
Post by: quiller on May 27, 2014, 11:23:11 AM
This is so splendidly-done that you're almost entirely through it before realizing it's a triumph of fakery...darn it.

Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbach) and Dr. Who (the outgoing Matt Smith)...and it's well worth the watch.

I did see that.  It was a BBC 3-parter.  The vid was 'promoted' as a brilliant fake.  -A touch of irony, as Who and Holmes embarqued-upon a glittering intrigue involving famed Dutch art-forger, Han van Meegeren, and a dalek plot to assist James Moriarty in the 'switching' of Caravaggio's Supper At Emmaus, in The National Gallery Of London with an exact duplicate.  Then exchange the original for a small sack of blue-sapphires, coveted by the daleks, offered by a mysterious Danish woman that no-one ever sees.

I've knighted him, at least...  Sir Peter: the only actor to play Dr. Who and Sherlock Holmes.
