No, you've got it all wrong. Rodman is a political genius. Rodman is pals with Kim Jung Un, so if anything happens to him then ISIS will be inviting the wrath of the North Korean military, which we already know is the best in the world according to North Korea state media.
Once ISIS grabs Rodman, North Korea is going to declare war. Their troops will row their way over to the middle east transported by the Glorious People's Navy and their most feared fleet of jon boats, or probably just teleport given North Korea is the most advanced country on the planet (source: DPRK website).
Here's the thing - Rodman is actually a double agent. He works for the USA. This was all planned from the get go. Once North Korea over extends themselves fighting ISIS, then the there will be a US sponsored coup in North Korea that overthrows the Kim regime.
