This story as told by the AP is about as biased as it gets.
Point is, it's a socially conservative town, and freaks want to get in their face and demand they accept a degenerate lifestyle.
Guess who the extremists are here? Nope, not a tiny minority of freaks, but the town that rebels against an open display of revolt over social norms.
Montenegro' biggest mistake is wanting to join the failed EU, so they have to conform to radical ideas of sexual behavior.
PODGORICA, Montenegro (AP) -- Police in Montenegro fired tear gas to repel anti-gay extremists who threw rocks and firebombs at officers protecting a gay pride march Sunday, officials said. About 60 people were injured.
The violence occurred when the attackers tried to push through hundreds of police to reach those taking part in the march in Podgorica, the capital of the staunchly conservative Balkan country. After the march, the gay rights demonstrators were evacuated to a safe location in police vehicles.

These homosexuals are just attacking family and traditional values, they were not oppressed before and they are not oppressed now. This is the equivalent of a nazi rally being attacked by the population, they have freedom to live the way they want but if they want to make a statement and attack the values of the population then it is a given they will get attacked in return due to self defence by the population.
Both nazis and homosexuals can do what they want in the privacy of their own homes.
It's about money. It always is. Certainly in this country, the push for recognition of gay marriage is rooted in the tax and benefit advantages that are offered, usually by government, to legally married couples. They can dress it up any way they want (gays seem to be pretty good at that sort of thing), but in the end, it's just money.

I have to disagree, it was never about money in the US, rather a tool of division by the leftists.
If it can be used to destroy the nuclear family, then they'll use it like a flame thrower against Western culture.

Agreed. Social recognition (and approval of their revolting lifestyle) matters more than any tax breaks.
