Title: More Fkorida Idiocy
Post by: supsalemgr on March 19, 2016, 04:38:41 AM
http://www.ajc.com/ap/ap/top-news/closing-arguments-expected-in-hogan-gawker-trial/nqnf5/

Here we have a sleaze ball having an affair with his best friend's wife and he stupidly tapes it. Some rag gets its hands on the tape and makes it public. Then the jury awards a $115 million judgement against the rag. Where is the sanity? Hogan is compensated for being a totally irresponsible jerk. DAMN!

Now think Trump. Yeah, the voter sat on that jury.

Trump has bragged about all the married women of colleagues and competitors he's slept with.  I wonder how many tapes he has, for negotiating deals.

Trump would love this outcome.  He likes suing people and wants to tighten libel laws so the media can be sued.

Oh, I thought your thread was about Mike Hogan and the Jacksonville, Florida redistricting scandal...

http://jacksonville.com/news/florida/2014-12-27/story/secret-redistricting-documents-show-maps-drawn-accommodate-mike-hogan#

an ongoing redistricting battle which resulted in this revelation, yesterday:

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/03/corrine-brown-ethics-panel-investigation-221169

(Democrat, Congresswoman Corrine Brown) engaged in improper conduct relating to certain outside organizations, including allegations that she may have conspired with other persons in connection with fraudulent activity, improperly solicited charitable donations, used campaign funds for personal purposes, used official resources for impermissible non-official purposes, failed to comply with tax laws, and made false statements, and/or failed to make required disclosures, to the House of Representatives and Federal Election Commission.

One Door For Education already plead guilty for conspiracy to commit wire-fraud.

So much for 'the fight against redistricting'.

Where the MSM is concerned, he's right about that. Libel laws should be tightened.

Just because the MSM is given certain protections in the law and
Constitution.

They should not be exempt as a business/corporation from being held to account for it.

When they are publishing bald faced lies. As they did for example to Ted Cruz.

Show me where media is protected against slander as opposed to the average guy.
You do realize, the First Amendment was created with the press in mind, right?
Trump as usual, is full of shit.

Chief Broken Sentences talked with forked keyboard. Congress shall make no law --- until they spread provable mistruths. Libel is expensive for small town papers who often shy away from, ANYTHING controversial because they can't afford the lawsuits. Enhance and enlarge that prism and you need to be a New York Times before you can lie like you actually knew anything.
