So last night after watching a little TV with Solar I decided to do my neck traction (it is attached to the headboard of the bed). I do the traction for about 15 minutes 4-5 times a week to take the pressure off my neck...but I digress.
I fell asleep while in traction. :o An hour later Solar noticed I was still in my device woke me up and got me out of it. I probably would have stayed in it all night... Glad he was there to help you out. But it must be nice to have to do a therapy that allows you to fall asleep while it's being done. I wish there was an exercise like that.
Are you having vertebrae issues in your neck? I had that. I had 2 fused together a few years back....

It is strange. It takes the pressure off my neck and relieves the numbness in my arms and hands. This along with the little pill they give me does the job. :)

Do you really want Solar to be miserable?
I have been avoiding the question of surgery since early this year. They tell me when I am tired of living with the pain and numbness to let them know. It just so happens that my boss was diagnosed with a similar situation, her surgery is the 20th of this month so I am waiting to see.....
Meanwhile she has given me everything they have given her about what she can't do for 4 weeks. It is easier to tell us what we can... :)
The scary thing is Solar will have total control. (https://conservativepoliticalforum.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fsmileys.on-my-web.com%2Frepository%2FSurprise%2Fsurprised-013.GIF&hash=1b333f0038472fc4133e07dd9ceea094fa333f1a)

Go ahead and get it done. As it gets worse, you don't realize how bad you are, since it is gradual. I kept popping pain killers to feel better. It started to affect my golf game, and one day I was playing basketball, and I kept airballing freethrows! I knew it was time to do something then...

The worst part for me was earlier this year when I could barely make the drive to and from work. That's when I started doing physical therapy and they introduced me to home traction. It helps but as they keep telling me only surgery will fix it. What level did you have fused? I am looking at C6-C7 for sure and maybe C5-C6. :)
I am considering it early next year. Want to be past the holidays and try to time it before budget season at work begins again..

The therapy doesn't work. I tried it. It makes you feel like you are improving, but you don't. Surgery is the only way to go. Mine was back in '04, so they are probably even more advanced at this now.
It will change your life back to normal.
