Nah, surprisingly enough, the ground absorbed almost all of it.
Just got another inch over night, again, no ponding or ridging from runoff

But this only just begun, we now start our 6 hard weeks of winter. We still have a possible Polar blast coming, those suck far more than snow.

Last week in the 80's. And another cold spell this week. Two nights down to 10*, high of 24* during the day. Yesterday we had enough wind to keep the tanks from freezing over, not so last night. expecting 31* today so cows will be able to break whatever ice is there. Sunday should be back in the mid sixties, with seventies all next week. Beats August.

You're warmer than we are, but like you, it sounds like we're all headed for a false Spring.
That kills off crops here in Ca, especially fruit and almond crops, which makes produce prices go through the roof.
Happens every decade or so... Drought and deluge, have nothing to do with AGW, just a desert climate.

Lent is late this year, I remember several of my ancestors who believed that also meant a late year freeze. Wish I would have wrote down many of those old sayings. I think some of them were just amusement they got from confusing a kid.

Yeah, for most of the US, it's a wives' tale, but here in Ca. we see it in real-time.
I hate it because it means we completely miss Spring, we come out of snow and freezing temps, to a month of 80 degree temps and extremely humid because of all the water in the ground escaping for the next month.

Yes, but it's not yet locked in. However, it looks like it will over the Summer.
