Wayne on CF posted at 11:00 this morning that Duster has passed away.
I write this with a heavy heart as Duster was always one of the best people I have ever met on the various forums. I know some knew him and wished to pass this on. God Rest thee, Duster.
I can only imagine that CJ is devastated.
 I am sorry for the loss of your friend, may he rest in peace. I will keep his family in my prayers.

I never personally met the man, but his beliefs and mine were almost mirrors of each other. He was a forward air controller in 'Nam and then flew crop dusters since. I can only imagine what some of those chemicals may have done to him.
We thought he was somewhat on the mend, but it was not to be.
RIP Duster
Do you know what the cause was?

From what I gather it was lung cancer that had moved into his bronchial passage and that is how they found it. I may be wrong, but I think that is the case.

Wow! Sorry about that Shooter, that was fast. He did know his history.
Please give my sincere condolences to CJ.

Will do, Walks, when the time is appropriate. Right now, it is just everyone expressing their condolences and She is probably in a state of shock. I am sure she will eventually post again, but right now I am sure it is all just a blur.

I saw that CJ posted something the other day, that sounded like he was ok. This has to be one big unexpected blow to her.

Yeppers. It seemed after his chemo and some radiation, they, I believe, had sent him home, and she was kinda upbeat. She kept us updated through Wayne. He had a couple of setbacks, and my understanding is they put a stint into his bronchial passage ( connecting I think ) and it made his breathing easier, but he never recovered.
RIP Duster.
Thats just down right sad..... prayers going up for her.
My prayers to the family. It is never easy to lose someone especially to cancer. Toy

Sorry for the loss. It's funny how we can get close to people on the internet, that we will likely never meet in person; but it happens. It's our spiritual nature.
Honest forthright people like Duster are too few in this life. RIP.
I haven't had the honor of reading any of Duster's and Cj's posts but Duster is surely getting a great sendoff from most of his friends on this forum. He must have been a very open and insightful person and I'm so sorry that I didn't get to post with him. My most heartfelt prayers to CJ on his demise.
He'd had many years in Africa and brought insights many Americans hadn't seen before. He was a true gentleman.
Didn't know about this until I went to see what people were saying about Rick's death. Scary how we have had two prominent posters die within a week of each other. Very sad.
Granted, I never got along with Duster but we never really had too many hostile verbal exchanges either. RIP though, hope CJ is doing ok through this ordeal.
