Today at the ripe old age of 70 my husband ran the Dallas marathon! It was his first time to run one. Not bad for an old codger!!
I am very proud of him.

Yes, and it was raining to boot! But temps were not too bad.... in the 50s but there was a mean wind. He did it in a little over five hours. Not lightening speed but respectable for his age group.
I tried to post a pic of his medal but was not able to get it to post. Too bad because it is a colorful pegasus.
He is running the Houston marathon next month, Little Rock marathon in early March and a half marathon in April when he plans to give the medals to our granddaughters. The girls will run the final lap with him.
Then he plans to retire from running.
Scratch that off the bucket list! : )

I'd have congratulated him at any age. I've always despised running unless, in for for ones life.
