Yawn. Just like when people know when Christmas Eve will occur and wait until the very last minute to do their shopping, many in Irene's path waited until the very last minute to shop for essentials or to get out of town. And then they wonder why the stores are sold out and there's no gas. A-holes.
Even better are the ones Ive heard about who run out to buy things, like a generator, in order to get through an event like Irene, and then, when the event's over, run back to the store expecting full refunds on returned goods. If I was a store owner, I'd tell them to get f****d.
Speaking of gas, look for a spike in gas prices. :)) ;D

Under an umbrella I hope, I'd hate to see you ruin a perfectly good beer.

This picture was taken in Puerto Rico shortly after Hurricane Irene ravaged the island. Yes, that's a shark swimming down the street next to a car, and this is exactly why authorities in NYC are warning people not to go swimming in flood waters after a hurricane.

What a photo! I never would have thought a shark could end up swimming down the street after a hurricane.
