This has been a roller coaster ride for me this year. Most of you know I had the cervical fusion in March and was forced  to stay home for 8 weeks. Then just after I got back to work full time I developed a frozen shoulder. That knocked me down for a few weeks again. Then Solar's Mom was in the hospital and passed away in August.
Then back in the middle of September I got rear-ended on my way home from work - just sitting at the stop light I got to watch the women in the cute little Audi slam into me. Fortunately my beloved Subaru was repairable and I was fine.
Then last week on my way home, only 5 miles to go, I was a stop light in the middle of nowhere behind 4 other cars and on a curve.....guess what happened. Yep rear-ended again, I had only had the car back a couple of weeks. Unfortunately this time the deemed my car "totaled". Solar is taking me car shopping this weekend, for another Subaru of course, but I will still miss my my old one. She and I traveled over 90,000 in the 4 years I drove her. I hope the next one treats me as good.

So what do you do in our spare time?
If I get the good wife a new car it will be a Subaru.

I loved that car. We are looking for another Subaru so either a used Forester or maybe another Impreza. Drivng it through the canyon it was like the car was a part of me. I always felt safe...
In my spare time I seem to go to the doctor. Will be going in a couple of weeks to get one of my fingers looked at. Toy
This certainly has been an unusual year. Guess it may be because it is election year. A big part of this year, like the previous 3, has been the uncertainty of our economy. I really worry about what our children will face in years to come if we can't get back to being more responsible in the way we handle issues of government. We surely won't survive under liberal guidance.

I agree with you there Keyboarder. I need the election over too. This uncertainty hanging over our heads just adds to the stress. Toy

Wow ST, I had no idea. I am sorry you have had such a rough year. Let's hope this year scraped the bottom of the barrel and you can only go up from there.

Solar toy, why you having such a hard time? It's all Obama's fault..ha :scared:
Well, my Mom passed away April 7 this year, so I can relate to Solar's Mom passing. I am having a hard time with that.....She has lived with us since 1975. Now that's a long time.......but my Father had a stroke in 1975 and had to go to a nursing home in 1982. We wanted to help them out and not let her stay by herself, so she lived with us........now I am missing her terribly.
And someone slammed into the side of our excursion...the lady on her phone and backing up...not even looking back and backed into us.
So that part I can relate too.
Hope you have better days to come.
