Title: I am proud and impressed....
Post by: Solars Toy on April 30, 2011, 11:17:14 AM
My niece ran her first half marathon today.  She did 13.1 miles in 2 hours and 39 minutes.  :D :D

Don't know if that is a good time or not but God knows it is better than anything I could ever do. 8) 8)

Me too, ST

Ever since my broken ankle and foot, I have a new attitude about simple things. 13+ miles in less than 3 hours is no simple thing for me these days.

Way to go, Niece!

Is it good? I don't know. I do know could not do that on a moped.

Well done whatever your name is...

Obviously depends upon your fitness
The average for a woman is 2:08  to 2 hours and 20 minutes
For a full marathon it takes about 4-5 hours if you're in shape

My youngest girl does the Triathlon, she is 36.

Thanks all.  We are very proud of Mandy.   After her second child she decided she wanted to do this.  I think she plans on continuing to a possible full marathon eventually.

UKay did you use to run?  If so I am impressed.  It is the one thing physically I just could never do... :(

But with those short legs, you looked like you were kicking ass, that is, until that toddler lapped you... :-*
