Title: Differences...
Post by: Solars Toy on September 22, 2012, 08:09:34 AM
So as we sit here this morning I am noting the differences between Solar (man) and me (woman).  It is a beautiful clear and cold morning.  Solar, as usual, is in next to nothing.  I on the other hand have on heavy sweat pants, long sleeve t-shirt, lightweight vest, and boots.

I will probably stay this way right up until my first hot flash of the day.  Toy

Gal I feel for ya...  The good wife has been going through hot flashs for over 35 years now.   The house is set for 67º and I go out side just to get warm.   She get what I call a cold flash about 3 time a year, where I can turn the tem up to 70º for about half a day.

Hubby is always warmer than me.  I think I have a comfort level of about 1.5 degrees.   Poor guy, we have an understanding now, he can have his fan year round, as long as I get my down comforter.

LOL  It does suck.  Solar says I radiate the heat when it happens.   Otherwise I am always cold.  (https://conservativepoliticalforum.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fsmileys.on-my-web.com%2Frepository%2FOthers%2Fcold-145.gif&hash=75dc9beb87a18f6f129981ad3cc76b7066ef27b2)

LOL!!! same in our case.
She can bundle up all she wants, as long as I can have the window open.
I love waking up and seeing my breath, I sleep better when it's below freezing in the bedroom.

When you get to my age cold = Pain, so in the winter I keep my computer room at 72º.  The rest of the house is 67º unless she open the door to cool the house down.

I'll have to scratch around to find it, but I have a pic of a thermometer in our front room reading exactly 100 degrees Fahrenheit. While I was getting over my disbelief and collecting my camera, it had fallen from 104 degrees.

Mrs. tbone has problems with her perception of temperature.

We do the same.  Solar bought me a wonderful large heavy comforter for my birthday last year and he only warms the house in the Winter for me.  Most days he keeps the wood stove barely going and then cranks it up just before I get home.

I can always put on more clothes.  He can only get so naked.  Toy  (https://conservativepoliticalforum.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fsmileys.on-my-web.com%2Frepository%2FOthers%2Fothers-085.gif&hash=bb4483f65261fe711c094838679bf433f52aebba)
