If you're a guy, do you prefer to wear a bow tie or a necktie, and if you're a woman, do you prefer a guy in a bow tie or a necktie? I've been in suits, heavily starched shirts, and bow ties since the beginning of high school (Catholic high school. The guys HAD to wear ties; I just made mine BOW ties) so my choice is obvious.

I myself has always preferred a necktie using a Windsor kinot.  But I did put on a Bow tie for our wedding day.   IF I had my druthers I would leave them all in a store.   I am a country boy at heart and I like jeans and a T shirts.

Same here, when I did undercover security work, I always wore a clip on.
There is nothing worsse than giving a perp an upper hand with a real tie to choke you with.

Now, like you, I too wear jeans and a T-shirt, I have no use for a suit, the bears and mountain lions aren't impressed, in fact, they probably see a city boy as an easy target. :))

I see no place for I prefer no tie at all.  A poll is only as good as the way it is ask.  As I wear jeans and a T-shirt 99.99% of the time I prefer no tie at all.  But then at my age I can do as I like. 

Kind of like the polls that query "likely voters." If you're not likely to wear a tie of any kind, it would skew the outcome anyway.

Definitely a neck tie.  I wouldn't want to be mistaken for a muzzy...

Probably too late to vote, but I like the neck tie. Unfortunately There is not much chance to wear one anymore. I like vests too- and Bowlers. I think I was born in the wrong century.

Maybe the Bat Masterson look will make a return.
I always thought it was a sharp look, though I prefer a cowboy hat myself.
