She surely did, becoming an international sensation still remembered (however distorted by publicists and time). One wonders, how would
EITHER gender do, trying to recreate Oakley's legendary over-the-shoulder-with-a-mirror stunt?

When I was a little girl, Annie Oakley was my super hero. I had an Annie Oakley outfit and gun! LOVED it!

I know for a fact that my wife did and can to this day.
Well actually, she's right lol
She used some small caliber ammo that was loaded with tiny pellets, much like Shotgun Shells.
This improved her odds of actually hitting the targets she aimed at.
And no, I am not dissing her. She was a Showman, not an Olympic Athlete.
Anything she could do to put on a good show was perfectly fair.

I did a fast image-search to to refresh my memory and nearly freaked out at some of the very long barreled .357's in their list. I presume she carries the 2" model; that or she likes that boat-oar of a hammer digging into her ribs....

Open carry? I can't imagine the longer barrel in a concealed situation.

She has a special leather handbag I have make for her. Or a long jacket or open front sweaters with a breakaway holster. Understand my wife is over 6' tall.
