POLICE HAVE NO DUTY TO PROTECT YOU, FEDERAL COURT AFFIRMS YET AGAIN

This latest decision adds to a growing body of case law establishing that government agencies — including police agencies — have no duty to provide protection to citizens in general:

"Neither the Constitution, nor state law, impose a general duty upon police officers or other governmental officials to protect individual persons from harm — even when they know the harm will occur," said Darren L. Hutchinson, a professor and associate dean at the University of Florida School of Law. "Police can watch someone attack you, refuse to intervene and not violate the Constitution."

The Supreme Court has repeatedly held that the government has only a duty to protect persons who are "in custody," he pointed out.

Moreover, even though the state of Florida has compulsory schooling laws, the students themselves are not "in custody":

"Courts have rejected the argument that students are in custody of school officials while they are on campus," Mr. Hutchinson said. "Custody is narrowly confined to situations where a person loses his or her freedom to move freely and seek assistance on their own — such as prisons, jails, or mental institutions."

Hutchinson is right.

The US Supreme Court has made it clear that law enforcement agencies are not required to provide protection to the citizens who are forced to pay the police for their "services."

The entire reason for posting this was, in the past we've actually had idiots claim we don't need guns because 911 is only minutes away.
This literally kills that BS argument, not only that, but depending on the situation, you may be putting yourself in worse harm than had you not called in the first place due to mass confusion from an overwhelming response..

Are you referring to the same people who demand we defund the police? The same people who want to put a policeman on trial for doing his job?

  Liberals have their own blue states, their own blue cities, enormous budgets, their own laws. Where is their paradise? Solar, for the life of me I can not understand why people keep voting for them, people of all colors, when they help no one, regardless of color. They screw everyone.  Just by undoing everything liberals have done, this would be a greater country. We need nothing new, just undo what they have done.

You know, Portland Or is a perfect example of this. They literally tied the hands of the police dept. that more than 100 cops left the force in a short time because cops knew it was no longer safe to be a cop.
And who did they hire to replace them? Total washouts from other states, cops no one wanted on their force.
Then they sicked antifa on the city and told the police to stand down.

It's no secret what the left did to "Their" police in Blue shitholes, and their media went about the task of painting all cops as bad once these forces started failing and getting exposed.
It's why I wanted to post this, because despite most having the moto on their cars "To Serve and Protect", the courts have ruled otherwise.

Bottom-line, stay the fuck out of blue city shitholes!
