Buy locally, may cost a 1% or more, but at least you'll have it in hand.

We got a couple of guys at work that walk in those shops with cash, walk out with 1oz &10oz silver bars - every pay day.

Yep. My brother buys on-line, something I'll never do. If I can't walk out with it, I ain't buyin it.

The "Prepper Guys" I work with buy online - which I'll never understand! So paranoid about purchases, and they're using Credit cards..???
My guess, if a private eye or someone with the skills wanted to do indepth research on their purchasing habits, what they might "own"... they sure made it EASY. Silver bars - order online with a
credit card. Buy a gun -
credit card. Ammo -
credit card. Or debit card, whatever.
Why not just do a cash withdraw at an ATM, walk into the store & pay cash..? Order it and pay cash.
One guy was interested in getting his HAM radio license, until he realized we needed 2 forms of ID and the Feds will issue him a FRN number.
Just because it's difficult to track a person's purchasing habits NOW... doesn't mean it'll be difficult to sort through all those recorded purchases 3 years from now. The logic just escapes me.
