Title: Draft dodger Cassius Clay dead at 74
Post by: quiller on June 04, 2016, 02:49:24 AM
I have never met a Vietnam veteran with anything good to say about this coward. Boxing prowess be damned. He was a disgrace.

Yep! As a Vietnam vet, I consider him to be in the same league as the pukes who ran up to Canada to avoid the draft.

It's disgraceful that LBJ wasted so many young Americans for what, WHAT ?

And now the Muslim in the Oval Office is doing it again.

If America is going to fight, FIGHT. Truman-Style.

58,272 lost and LBJ would not try to win it. Nor did Nixon. We haven't learned a damn thing.

It's difficult to defend Nixon.

He did get us out.

He should have WON it.

I have learned that most member of Congress and most of our presidents in the last 65 years are thinking more of their pocket books.  Then our men and woman in and out of uniform.  They make Benedict Arnold look like child's play.

Here's the interview ostensibly about Clay's having Parkinson's Disease, but swiftly degenerates into a motor-mouth rant about race. (BBC interview by a reputed ultra-right-wing interviewer.) THIS is the POS the left adores.

I've met the parents of a few GIs that were either killed or MIA in Vietnam.  When this dirtbag dies, the media - and even some conservative sites are calling this POS a great man, etc.

I'm wondering what went wrong in America.  A draft dodger and a Muslim is a great man while not one boxing fan in 10,000 could give you the name of any soldier - even from their own neighborhood, that did not come back home from that "police action."

If there were a strictly Constitutional Basis for BANNING this vile "Sport" of Boxing, I'd be all for it.

And if there is not, so be it.

He'd rather have a ring where two men just hug for 5 rounds.

Great, now there's a mental image I'll never clear, I just pictured Bathhouse Barry doing his meet and greet....
