Um, Go Bucks. Or should we adopt "Roll Bucks?"  :tounge:

I think the Seminole nation may call FSU and ask for their name, mascot image, tomahawks, and lances returned!

FSU's coach needs to teach his receivers to tuck in the ball and protect it. And their QB needs to pay better attention to the defense rushers in front of him: that tipped pass that was intercepted was the culmination of several "almosts" by that same rusher.

It doesn't take brilliant analysis to figure out that turning the ball over 5 times will make winning very difficult, even just based on the lost opportunities. Oregon showed its mettle by converting those 5 turnovers into 5 touchdowns!

I expected the game to be close, and thought FSU to be the slightly more likely to win. As it was ... . OSU better not take Oregon lightly. And it looks like OSU's offense might be quite a test for Oregon's defense. I'm guessing a high-scoring game looks likely.

The Buckeyes did similar cool things with Sims' screwups last night; not like that boy to toss three picks.

Consider that Cardale Jones started pre-season practice last summer as the third-string quarterback for OSU. Last night's strong victory over #1 Alabama was only Cardale's second college career start. Not bad for a rookie who just a few months ago was standing in line behind J. T. Barrett, who was standing in line behind Heisman contender Braxton Miller.

OSU, and Big Ten teams in general, have a history of playing better against West Coast teams (think traditional Rose Bowl), as opposed to SEC teams -- at least until our home-grown spy returned from his scouting trip to Florida.  :tounge:  It would appear that our Toledo-born head coach brought back some valuable lessons!

Now it'll be Bucks vs. Ducks. I'm sure the game will be more interesting than the name.

We Wolverine-fans are kinda pissed and jealous, but at least you toppled the SEC-champ.

I've got a buddy in Toledo-land (actually, just a mile or less north of the border in Lambertville) who is -- believe it or not -- a life-long Crimson Tide fan. The poor boy is honked off six ways from Sunday! When he's not rooting for Alabama, he's rooting for UM or Michigan State. (Everything north of Wood County, Ohio is blue and maize country.) We beat them ALL this year!

A week ago, I would have picked Florida State to win it all. Perhaps that's why I don't make my living as a bookie.  :tounge:

THIRTY MINUTES 'TIL KICKOFF!!! Time to make your picks, guys and gals! Has Oregon got the stuff to be National College Champion? Will the Ohio State juggernaut make it happen?

I'm gonna go with OSU, not because I live 40 minutes from their home field, but because I think Ohio State is the better team... and over the life of the rivalry, it's Ohio State 8, Oregon... zip.

Here we go, kids! It's Bucks vs. Ducks!!!!  :tounge:

SO FAR SO GOOD!!!!!!!

Just about a minute left in the first quarter, and my boys are up 14-7. This with a third-string QB!!!

At the half, it's 21-10 Bucks. It's about an even split so far in terms of major penalty calls. Oregon has gotten the benefit of two Ohio State fumble turnovers, but haven't been able to turn that to their advantage.

I'm likin' it.

Jesus. Just what OSU needed -- one more goddamn turnover. Bang. Oregon scores.

Swell. Turnover #4. I think it's a game record for this year. I could just scream. Can't we just hang on to the friggin' ball?

You Michiganers (is that right? or is it Michiganis? Michiganders? just Mitches?) are so-o-o bitter.

We're just noting how overrated Oregon is, versus your luck...  And it's 'ganders'.

I shouldn't have to point out that Oregon beat the living shit out of Florida State, or that the Buckeyes got the best of #1 Alabama. I think we're about to see the correct team crowned champion, four turnovers or not.

For what it's worth, I thought Oregon was overrated too, not because of their stats, but because of their relatively weak schedule. One stat that stood out for me was the drive time for the Ducks, meaning how long it took for them to score, being 3:00 or less. That says to me weak opposition, not strong offense.

My Bucks have played well, except for four unforgivable fumble turnovers. We could have spotted them four possessions, and it would have turned out the same.

Congrats...  At least the Big-10 is back.

Hopefully your head can still fit through a doorway...

MY head?! How would you like to be Cardale Jones right now? Three starts -- Big Ten championship victory, then playoff semi-final victory against #1 Alabama, then the college football championship. Zowie!

Yeah, that's a college-football first, I think.

A sufficient body of game-film exists now, of him.
