I am totally spoiled by my TiVo. It's wonderful to have a DVR to record shows, pause them, rewind them.

But is there such a technology for Talk Radio ?

Isn't TiVo great? It really spoils you.  I quit listening to radio because of all the commercials.

What show you listen to?  Many post them online the next day.

I used to listen to a lot of them.  Rush, Prager, Levine, Hewitt, sometimes Hannity and a few others.  I don't even know the line-ups anymore.

I like to keep up-to-date, and the next-day clips are often just snippets, or they charge a subscription fee.

I suppose there just aren't enough Talk-Radio Fans to justify designing such a product.

Which is one of the reasons we have so many lo-info voters !

Mark Levine's are still free.  I listen to those occasionally, and he cuts out the commercials.

WINTV makes a card that does both TV-over-the-air, or Cable, and FM radio.  plug it into a slot on your desktop, and if you have a decent hard drive, you can pause, skip ahead, skip back (rewind), record and playback.   If you're interrupted while watching an important football game (if there is such a thing), just pause, and restart, whether you actually had it on record (you set the number of minutes for the pause buffer).   Later models have picture-in-picture, dual tuners.

For just talk radio, if it's a broadcast station, I think there is an over-the-air radio that'll do that.

I keep hearing good reviews about CCrane radios, good reception.
