I watched a couple of YouTubers get into an actual racing league and race for less money that the high-end racing simulator (three screen/simulated F1 style steering wheel/etc. It was a brand new racing league where they use one of three identically made passenger cars (small used hatchbacks), all were required to order/install the supplied parts kits, and go by the same rules (ECU tuned identically, etc).

I know that flight training is long and expensive, but just looking at a YouTube list showed used Cessna/Beechcraft/Piper personal aircraft for the cost of a small car. Some better models cost as much as a regular/luxury car. That isn't terrible to purchase one. What probably kills you is the maintenance and fuel costs, but you own your own plane. Those Cessna's style aircraft can take off/land in a field all day long.

Buying a used personal jet costs as much as a big house. Turbo-prop is probably the better option in the long run.
