Sounds "trollish" to me but no doubt there are hoards of folks doing exactly that... simply living off the toils of their neighbors.  I was raised to view that as a bad thing and to always strive to be self sufficient.  I was also raised to understand that some people do fall into hard times, both from circumstances beyond their control and self induced; and that both cases deserve some help from those more fortunate.

Sadly, the social progressives found this to be the goose that lays the golden eggs and we have a new generation who honestly believe their livelihood is but a short walk to the mailbox.

It's game theory manifested in reality, if the benefits of being unemployed exceeds the cost of working then you would have to be a stupid moron like myself to not be unemployed. I have three friends who have lived on wellfare since they finished high school and they are doing just fine with normal apartment, good computer to wank all day, flatscreen tv, multiple consoles, car, able to go drinking every weekend and still have money to go on vacation once every year.

You would have to be really stupid to work and pay for someone else having a blast. Not that they are the happiest of people, one of my friends on wellfare are the whiniest socialists you could meet, the other two just dont care about anything.

Welfare separates the Christians from the church-goers.  Theft is a sin, yet people in churches, including mine, engage in it openly.

They must be REALLY good friends...I'd disown my own family were any of them to believe living off the hard work of others, as a normal means of existence, is acceptable.

I think I could forgive a family member for doing that, if he were at least a little bit apologetic about it.

But if had the misfortune to associate with someone who's completely worthless, AND a depressing, whiney jerk?  I might try to step back and reconsider my circle of friends.
