                       well...I respect your opinion in here.....therefore....tell me which precepts of the Tea Party you think he does not espouse.
Shouldn't the onus be on him?
He, like all RINO took  donations money from a pharmaceutical co before he signed a bill allowing their use in schools, if memory serves.
Do a little digging, you'll find it.

Three reasons:

1) DISASTROUSLY BAD 2012 campaign because of pitiful debate performance.
2) Texas governor with folksy attitude. People are superficial and go too much off of appearance, and Perry reminds a lot of people of Dubya.
3) I can't remember the 3rd one. Oops.

Yeah. It was a Monty Python parody...

                        well...money is always a hard thing to control...and I have to believe that if we "dig" deep enough....we will find some "funny" money in just about all the candidate's coffers.
                        Your statement notwithstanding....PERRY still passes the bar with high marks for me for his strong spine in defending the life of the unborn....and his commitment to reducing the size of the dictatorial federal government.

  Like McConnell, Rick Perry attempts to align with the TEA Party only to gain votes, not because they actually agree with TEA principles. I've lived in Texas all my life and can attest to Perry's use of cronyism when appointing officials around the state. To clarify, in Texas, the role of governor is purposely weak which gives citizens a stronger voice through our state legislature. Perry has had no problem burdening taxpayers with a $10,000/month rental while the gov mansion was being renovated;
http://www.politifact.com/texas/statements/2010/apr/24/bill-white/white-says-perrys-rental-home-will-cost-taxpayers-/

  In addition, he is traveling across the U.S. inviting people to move to Texas yet this state is suffering from a long time drought with some towns actually running out of water     http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2013/aug/11/texas-tragedy-ample-oil-no-water

  IMO, we should be supporting the person causing a ruckus in D.C., Ted Cruz. We hired him to hold Washington accountable and by gosh, he is! RINO's despise him and with Congress' approval rating at 13%, that should tell us something. They expect freshman congressional members to march step to the  status quo and Cruz refuses. Good. FWIW, I used to support Rand Paul but recently found out he endorsed McConnell. RINO anyone?

Biggest problem I have with Cruz is the Canadian thing After all the flack thrown at the Obama don't think for a minute it won't come back with Cruz!! I like him but I'm not sure he meets the nationalization requirement to run! As it stands Walker would be top of my list but I need to look at Rand Paul a little closer

    I think his citizenship will be decided as a U.S. citizen.

  As far as Rand Paul, nope. Growing up with the Paul's, I'm very disappointed at his endorsement of McConnell;

    :smile:  Thanks for the welcome! I joined another political forum and was shocked at the language and people just posting crud without sources to back up their claims. I am happy I found this one and look forward to good debate with everyone.

Glad you found us. Your point about backing up posts with facts and not simply opinion pieces, is what separates us from the rest.
We pride ourselves in the truth, sure, we banter, call all libs Marxists etc, but if it's a serious issue, only the facts are allowed, all others will be ridiculed, even if it's one of our own.

And if it's a Pub not following the TEA line, they too get hosed, as you pointed out about Rand, there is no room for capitulation towards the enemy, (McConnell) and all RINO are the enemy, more so than the Dim party.

Cruz is a US Citizen, as is Obama, irrespective of their place of birth, because of having a parent who is a natural born US Citizen.

I think we can trust Cruz. For example I am confident Cruz won't go to another country and call us a Python parody then come back to America and pretend he likes it here...

I had to go with Walker. I have seen what he did for Wisconsin and I hear this year he even has a surplus. Enough so that he is giving a rebate to property owners who are current on their taxes.
