In 1943, my father received an "Ausweis" (like an internal passport) upon reaching the age of majority in Germany.
After receiving the documents, he was given a mandatory vaccination with 12 different injections in the stomach, after which, as my father said, his stomach became hard as a board and his muscles ached terribly.
This state continued for two or three weeks, the stomach returned to normal and my father never again suffered from any diseases until about 85 years old, and then old age still took its toll. :huh:

Some people, like me, have a shot phobia. I once passed out after getting a shot at the dentist. Another time I passed out after giving blood; the damn tech kept poking around because she couldn't find a vain. Who knows when it may happen to me again. It's aways in the back of my mind when getting a flu shot.
As far as the fake shot. I remember with a news station got busted filming from a boat while a guy waded by in the background.
