I don't think that decriminalizing it stops you from growing it in your own backyard.

But there were always going to be some companies in the market offering the product w/o you having to grow it yourself.

Those companies were always going to have to pay a tax. Even if it were just State taxes.
I didn't say any such thing. I Said decriminalizing allows anyone to grow it "with impunity", that means no strings attached.

With all these lawyers with cameras on the street I'm shocked we have so much crime in the world.
This challenge to law and order is always the start to loosing our constitutional rights.
How come nobody was interested in educating people about these rights until online videos got monetization?

Why are Democrats drug addicts?

The socialists know that half of America is pliable and SOMA will keep them that way...and out of the other half of America, SOMA will make them become pliable...SOMA is the democrat holy grail....

1. If this were to become a law you wouldn't have less liberty.

Are you stoned right now?  I guess this is all fun and giggles.  And of course no one goes on to try and get a better high, do they?

Hopefully this is DOA.  There are already too many brain dead stoned idiots who think there really is such a thing as a "free" lunch.

The very first thing you'll hear if this nonsense passes?  Whitey has the better dope.  The communities of color should have the good stuff too, and for free.  Racist.

Why stop at weed, just legalize everything, that way the kids can fry what little brain they have left.

I agree with the legislation.  Let it be handled at the local level of government.

With that said, I will just rely on personal experience with the drug to say most people I know who used grass didn't do nearly as well as those who didn't smoke it.  Yes, there are a few exceptions like anything else.  The parents that smoked weed with their kids have troubled adults now or dead kids.

I haven't seen weed improve anyone's life.  It seems like the perfect drug to get people hooked on socialism.  The democrats will probably want to make it widely available like vodka in Russia.

Democrats fully intend it to be handled by local .gov....why do you think they are pushing it on us.....it's the most effective tool they have to destroy liberty and that is the most effective place to deploy it....

I'm not afraid of drugs. Legal or illegal, people get addicted to all kinds of shit.

Now I might be way wrong here, but I dont think any gambler or alcoholic was ever as addicted as a heroin addict or a methhead. Modern drugs add a whole new level of addiction beyond what used to be available to humans.

Seems like the perfect storm.  Get as many people so whacked out they can't think straight which leads straight to these young minds buying into the free lunch crap the marxists are promising.  Addicted?  No problem, the treatment is covered under commiecare.  What?  No drugs and no money?  No problem, the police have been defunded and thefts under $1,000 in value are not prosecuted.

So kids, where should we drive the bus next?  I know, everyone chip in with you government issued EBT card and will buy all the weed we can find and then go to Disney World, it's all free.  Job, what job, well do that tomorrow.

Right now the weed being produced can bring on what they call "couch lock", so stoned you can't get up off the couch.  Legalize it, let big pharma get their hands on the science and soon we'll have dens over here like the Chinese opium dens.

We'll all be drinking that free bubble up and eating that rainbow stew.  Good luck with that.

The Democratic-controlled House on Friday approved a bill to decriminalize and tax marijuana at the federal level, reversing what supporters called a failed policy of criminalization of pot use and taking steps to address racial disparities in enforcement of federal drug laws.

Opponents, mostly Republicans, called the bill a hollow political gesture and mocked Democrats for bringing it up at a time when thousands of Americans are dying from the coronavirus pandemic.

The final vote was 228-164, with most Democrats joined by 5 Republicans and an independent to pass the legislation. Most Republicans and six Democrats opposed the bill.

I didn't know this was in the works. I'm not in disagreement with the bill, but I'd have to dig a little into it to see what it entails. Unless the Senate flips, though, this is DOA.

for example...Just because I don't have or want an RV, doesn't mean I oppose RVs. Use your common sense, if you have any.
