Trump looking into revoking security clearances for Brennan, other top Obama officials

President Trump is looking into revoking the security clearances of several top Obama-era intelligence and law enforcement officials, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said Monday, accusing them of having "politicized" or "monetized" their public service.





She made the announcement at Monday's press briefing, after Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., called on the president to specifically revoke Trump critic and former CIA Director John Brennan's clearance.

Sanders said Trump is considering it -- and also looking into the clearances for other former officials and Trump critics: former FBI Director James Comey, former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former National Security Adviser Susan Rice and former CIA Director Michael Hayden (who also worked under President George W. Bush).

Exactly. However, I understand folks do not have access to sensitive material without approval. I see this as Trump seeing an opportunity to pull democrat chains again and he is right on target. The left is freaking out and distracted again.

That's why come November, we need to do our damndest to purge the party of the enemy and give Trump what he needs to succeed. The GOP is worse than the Dim party n many aspects.

November is the time to keep the gop in power. The time to purge it of RINOS was the primaries, already over. As much as i hate rinos i wld still rather have ryan than ocasio cortez, if those r my only two choices. We wont have another chance at a purge until the 2020 primaries.

Im worried some will not vote for their rino and that will let the dems take power. Fortenberry is my rino. He disgusts me, but no one ran against him in the primary and i certainly dont want his seat going to the dems. So i will vote for him and take a long shower afterwards.

Keep the faith. It is a process. We did not get into this situation overnight and it will take time. The reversal began in 2010 and has been progressing. At that time nobody even dreamed of the "Freedom Caucus". As the movement matures it learns. In the beginning too many bad candidates were run. That is changing. If the house remains with a GOP majority after the 2018 elections it will be a big step.

You do know that every seat up for reelection in 2018 held by the GOP, with the exception of Cruz, is a RINO with an F rating, and Deb Fischer is a (D) rank RINO, right?
