Meanwhile here's how the Iranian students in the US were treated.

Carter orders 50,000 Iranian students in US to report to immigration office with view to deporting those in violation of their visas. On 27 December 1979, US appeals court allows deportation of Iranian students found in violation.

In November 1979, the Attorney General had given all Iranian students one month to report to the local immigration office. Around 7,000 were found in violation of their visas. Around 15,000 Iranians were forced to leave the US.



Meanwhile any Iranians entering the US were forced to undergo secondary screening.

Interestingly enough, Carter did this by invoking the Nationality Act of 1952. A law originally opposed by Democrats for its attempt to restrict Communist immigration to the United States.

Don't let the hysterical Grubering mislead you, as I have already stated, Trumps proposal is perfectly constitutional and importantly, saturated in common sense and legal precedent! Its especially satisfying to me to be able to report that Carter used an obscure law universally despised by democrats because it targeted BROTHER communists, thats as good as it gets!

I know of a lot of Iranians who came here after the Shah fell in 1979.

Trump said "Muslims" not Iranians.  It's my understanding that you can't round up people based on their religion.

We typically don't do that based on a persons race/ethnicity either. But these aren't typical times we live in.

The thing that is most troubling about Trumps "plan" is that there is no due process for those muzzies who are already here, and are already citizens.

Stop buying into the leftist hype. The can pretty much do anything they please to any group of foreigners this government feels like. Foreigners only have those rights which the US government feels like extending to them. They don't have the rights all Americans enjoy by virtue of their citizenship.

Your understanding is erroneous, you cannot round up American's based upon their religion, foreign nationals are an entirely different matter, and Trump never said anything about rounding up American's anyway!

I think where Trump went wrong was he should have said all persons from "Middle Eastern" countries rather than "Muslims."   It would have basically the same effect, but maybe the libs wouldn't have hissy fits over it.  On the other hand, I don't really care if libs have hissy fits.  I rather enjoy it.

We do have, mudslime's who are also citizens. The only question I ask, concern's them. And due process for them. As for the rest, as I said I can care less. We can deny entry to any damn body we damned well choose to deny entry too.
