There is no legal open carry in Ca. and hasn't been for decades.

No it was a local fair.  The border is about three hours from me.

I just looked it up. It's an open carry club that's local, but there are others all over southern CA.  I knew I must have seen them in restaurants, that's where they have their meetings.

The fair was five years ago and they attended.  They were allowed to carry their guns unloaded, but they could also carry their ammo.  The fair is held by a private group and weren't happy about the gun club coming, but the club threatened lawsuits, so they let it happen.

I don't know what to say, other than maybe the local Sheriff turns a blind eye to a bad law?
