Trump Suggests Collins Run Against Fellow Republican Kemp for Georgia Governor


President Donald Trump on Saturday suggested former Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.) primary Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp in the next gubernatorial election.

Collins, who ended up third in a free-for-all race to fill the Senate seat left vacant by the retirement of Sen. Johnny Isakson, joined Trump on stage during a rally in Valdosta on Saturday night.

After calling Collins "one the greatest advocates I've ever met in Washington," the president added, "Doug, you want to run for governor in two years?"

The crowd cheered and applauded as Trump said Collins would "be a good-looking governor."

To become governor in Georgia, Collins would likely need to beat Kemp in a primary in 2022 before facing the Democratic nominee.

Collins tried to win a Senate seat but ended up about 300,000 votes behind Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.), who is now facing pastor Raphael Warnock in a runoff election. He has since become the Trump campaign's recount leader in Georgia.

As much as I respect Trump and do not disagree with him. For the sake of maintaining a majority in the senate he should keep his powder dry for now. After the runoff, go after Kemp if he chooses.

I think it was a fair shot considering the GOP is hiding in the corner and not calling the election out. They are in essence giving silent support to kemp's corruption.
Trump literally fired a warning shot to all RINO. Expect to be called out in 2022.

The more this shit goes on, the more convinced I am that Perdu and Loeffler probably paid for a fraudulent race, neither should have won. That's why the RINO aren't doing anything, they're afraid of the truth coming out.

These Republicans like Kemp in GA and the PA legislature are making it very hard for the Supreme Court to support Trump. The Biden legal team is saying that the election fulfills the will of the state legislatures and the constitution ultimately says the state legislatures decide the electors. The SC conservatives also have a philosophy of in general letting the legislatures decide.

If it goes before the Supreme Court I can imagine Kagan asking Giuliani, "Mr. Giuliani, are you asking the court to overrule the Republican state legislatures, when you know that the constitution says the state legislatures have the ultimate say in picking electors?"

If this election steal was legal, it is 10 times worse than if it was illegal.

OK, but we still have the problem of pro-Biden Republicans in these states that will do what they can to ignore it. We knew before the election there was voter fraud and they did nothing then. Then we had the video recording of pulling out the boxes under the tables. Still nothing.

If fraud is the will of any state official then they should be arrested, fraud is a criminal act.  If any electors certify what they know to be fraud then they are just as guilty as those who perpetrated it.
