Trump Classified Docs Case Dismissed, Judge Finds Special Counsel Appointment Unconstitutional

US District Court Judge Eileen Cannon has dismissed Donald Trump's classified documents case, ruling that the appointment of Special Counsel Jack Smith was unconstitutional.

"The Special Counsel's position effectively usurps that important legislative authority, transferring it to a Head of Department, and in the process threatening the structural liberty inherent in the separation of powers," Cannon wrote in her decision. "He can be appointed and confirmed through the default method prescribed in the Appointments Clause, as Congress has directed for United States Attorneys throughout American history."

"Dismissal of this action is the only appropriate solution for the Appointments Clause violation."

They are finally being exposed. With every passing day I appreciate how McConnell tabled Garland's nomination for the SCOTUS

I never trusted Garland, he always had the look of a vengeful bullied kid looking for retribution.
He'd always just sit there with his nose tilted up, a little smug while biding his time. I'll never forget how he came across as someone who'd been groomed for the position.

It's the same place they find their Antifa members/assassins, kids so screwed up from societal issues and drugs. Garland always had that appearance to me, a no name loner pissed at the world.

The revenge factor is strong being it the "lawfare" that is being used by AG Garland. Also, as you just pointed out... Biden's pick in Garland's AG appointment. Nice catch supsalemgr...

Jack Smith, please, please appeal to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals where your pain in the ass Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas presides... :bigl

Remember CPF...Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas Clarence Thomas was the one that put the illegitimacy of Jack Smith's appointment in Judge Cannon's ear.

I love me some SCOTUS Clarence Thomas
