QuoteThe survey, which was conducted between May 29 and 30, notes that the good economy could be spurring the relatively high approval rating. Fifty-nine percent of respondents said they approve of Trump's handling of the economy, while a record 62 percent said they approve of his approach to employment.
A stunning 71 percent of voters viewed the economy as "strong" or "very strong."
"People's views on the economy are gradually pushing Trump's numbers up and his actions on other issues like China and immigration are neutral to positive," Mark Penn, the c0-director of the Harvard poll, said. (RELATED: April Jobs Report: 263,000 Jobs Added)

Now this is an interest point, considering most of us would assume it was all about the economy, but this statement reveals, there might be other reasons for his high approval numbers, like, maybe keeping campaign promises, exposing Marxists in govt, etc?
"consumer confidence in the economy is likely a contributing factor."
And let us not forget Trump has historically under polled.

Yeah, funny how the polls underestimate the conservatives or does the lsm just get the #'s wrong. Got to love how the lsm tells us how dumb Trump is, how Bush was a dumb cowboy, Reagan was old and senile, BUT obama was the most intelligent president ever, hillary was the most qualified candidate ever, Bill was the first "black" president who "cared" about the people...I'm starting to see a trend here.

Just a question. Has anybody here ever been polled by one of these so called non partison polls? I have not.
President Trump has created the strongest economy in the world He is now wielding that economy as a weapon. An integral part of Reagan being able to destroy the (former) Soviet Union, was engaging in an expensive arms race which the Soviet Union simply could not afford.
Using trade as a weapon against China is working. Even some on the Left, including Chuck Schumer, support what Trump is doing and see this as a winning strategy to ultimately even the playing field and force China into compliance with their obligations as a member of the WTO.
Now, President Trump is using our strong economy to force Mexico to take a firm hand in securing their southern border and stop enabling the invasion of the United States by illegal aliens. Even though our economy will take a hit, since we are so strong (thanks to Trump) this will hurt them far more than it hurts us!
I admire President Trump's courage. He is using his chief achievement for leverage in order to accomplish things that our in our national interests. No one controls the outcome of any trade war, but other President's have been far to concerned with their own reelection to do the sort of things which must be done in order to win!
Wall Street will scream bloody murder So will Democrats and Republicans who are in bed with special interests. Probably the Pope and many of our Allies will also be critical of what Trump is doing to force Mexico to help us control our border. When the stakes are high, the risks are very great and the challenges become formidable. However, This President may achieve the total denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and controlling our southern border against all odds, without any help from Congress, including much of his own party! He has to use the tools he has, since Congress will not provide him the other tools which he could do to do the job, with far less collateral damage.

No, and I do answer my phone when I have it on despite all of the robo calls. But, I don't carry it around much, mainly rely on voicemail.

President Trump is playing 3D Chess. He has created a great, strong economy which he can use (as Reagan did) as a cudgel to accomplish the things that other Presidents have complained about but been helpless to do anything about! It is quite natural that those enjoying the profit high don't want anything to interfere with their bottom line. President Trump knows that even if the DOW loses a few thousand points it still is so much better than when he took office that their is room to use our economy against that of others (China, Mexico and anyone else) to accomplish our foreign policy goals. Foreign policy and domestic policies are entwined with each other and there is nowhere this is more apparent than the mass invasion of our nation by foreign nationals illegally crossing our border!

What the left fails to understand is voters will not walk away from Trump because of his tweets or the things he says or does. Trump today is the same as Trump in 2016 and people voted for him anyway.

That's just it, those that supported him, did so because he isn't afraid of the left and would love him just as much if not more, if he doubled down on his rhetoric. I know I would, I love how he doesn't let shit slide, he responds with 10 times the vigor against his attackers. China just discovered, the "Man Of Steel" is good for his word.

Millions of Americans, who aren't news junkies like us, may have come to have a low opinion of Donald Trump because of the repeated Left wing propaganda. The Trump/Russia collusion Hoax hasn't even (yet) been fully exposed, since the media and the rest of the Democrats are doing all they can to keep HOPE alive, as if some how this will CHANGE things. Even many of the ardent Trump haters may come to BELIEVE that they have been lied to and manipulated by all those who could not accept the results of the 2016 election.
As Barr's DOJ and FBI continue their investigations and begin to bring the criminal conspirators to justice, I anticipate far more voters who were once anti-Trump will come around and jump on board the Trump Train. Actions speak louder than words and if the actions Trump is taking with immigration and our trade war as well as North Korea and other foreign and domestic issues, are successful, we can expect Trump to be reelected in a landslide!

That's a good point most of us overlook because we actually pay attention to the issues. These people are in for quite the shock when they discover everything they've been told was a lie, and it is coming. I suspect around 30% of the poopulation falls into this ignorant gap, couple that with the Nevertrumpers that didn't support Trump the first time around. Yep, no doubt a landslide is forthcoming.
I think all of us have expected a landslide for sometime now, I think I said it 6 months into his first year as long as Trump continued to keep his promises.
I didn't vote for him, but I promised to give him a chance to prove himself, I was dumbfounded before his first 2 weeks were up.

I think most people are supportive of Trump. The economy alone is real "rubber-meets-the-road" stuff. When you're working, your family members are working, and your neighbors are working, that's stuff that's not ignored, regardless of media. This survey alone proves that, as the financial media are running around like their hair is on fire.
Also, if people listened to the media, Hillary would be president right now.

I simply cannot picture MSM capitulation. What would that look like? Any version of "We were wrong" just doesn't play.
The best they and the Dems can do, I think, is slooooowly stop the sniping and attacking and start talking about what's really going on and addressing pragmatic solutions. I suppose that would be the letup you speak of. But I don't see a loss in 2020 slowing them down, but rather causing them to double down on their current gnashing and wailing.
Ah, here's the quote I was looking for ...
"A deep and genuine concern for other people will remind us that the discovery of truth is not to be a victory for some and a defeat for others. Unless all can claim a share in that victory, truth itself will continue to be rejected by the losers, because it will be regarded as inseparable from the yoke of defeat. And so, confrontation, controversy and the like might yield to a genuine united search for God's truth and how it can best be served."

Yeah, I don't see much change either, they will continue to push their leftist agenda. Trump could walk on water and cure the dying, and they'd claim he thinks he's God. What people tend to forget is, the LSM is not a for profit entity, rather a platform for disseminating leftist propaganda. They do not pull a profit.
What the left really needs to be concerned about is the rise of Conservative TV. We own radio, we are growing on social media, and making serious inroads into on air programming. When we finally start seeing real news organizations start gaining viewership, the left is finished, they'll lose their ignorant masses of an audience.

If one follows the money trail, nearly all LSM networks are subsidiaries of a larger corporate entity.
Look up who owns MSNBC, then follow it to NBC and upward from there. All of them have a corporate backer that subsidizes their news outlets, News no longer supports itself, unlike the Fox model which more than turns a profit.
What you'll discover is, they all belong to big leftist owned corporate entities, that used to belong to actual Americans. This has been a slow process, like watching grass grow, you don't see it outright, but over time you see the weeds takeover.
I'm not a big Infowars fan either, but they do tend to get down and dirty when uncovering the truth. Why would you be more inclined to believe leftist news, especially considering they all share the same business plan/format?
