Nobody was listening to Cruz anyway,
judging by the table-clangor and sounds of people conversing during it.
And what was the point of wearing a tuxedo, then reciting the same ol' Wisconsin speech?
It all looked and sounded pretty awkward.

Ted's message would not be very popular with that audience,
the "donor class" New York types.

He said:

CRUZ:  The heart of our economy is not Washington, DC.
The heart of our economy is small businesses
all across the United States of America.  (Applause)
And if you want to see the economy take off, it's very simple:
You lift the boot of the federal government
off the back of the necks of small businesses.
If I'm elected president --

Many in that New York audience DO see
the NYC corporate bosses and the DC lobbyists they buy
as being the heart of the economy!
Here are the 10 RINOs who voted to impeach Trump on Jan. 13, 2021 - NEVER forget!

Seriously? You bought the LSM excuse that suddenly as if someone cast a spell over the audience and told them to eat as loud as possible, and ignore Ted, we have a message to send?
You see, this is why you and all the other Trumpaloons fail to see Trump is losing, you've turned off all critical thought and focus solely on what you want to see, not the actual reality of any given moment.

Listening to Kasich and Cruz supporters calling into radio talk shows said Cruz was giving a mesmerizing speech, that everyone was  actually listening intently.
They all said they were shocked to find out what happened, because nothing changed on their end.

It was a "Gala" and dinner in the ballroom of the hotel.

People dress up for these occasions.

As far as people conversing and dishes clanking, is because they were eating, not sitting in folding chairs in a row.

The danger to America is not Barack Obama but the citizens capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency.

..and Trump, the first speaker was late... SIGNIFICANTLY LATE, pushing Cruz's speech into the dinner portion of the event...

It was a coordinated effort between the Trump campaign ant hotel staff and/or unions.   Who the F mics ambient noise at a speaking event?  And regardless, if they did have a accidental issue, wouldn't you inform the speaker, make an announcement, fix the problem and resume the presentation?

...and FOX news was an indirect co conspirator given that it took them 20 minutes to acknowledge the issue and address is officially.

The showing up an hour late was the obvious thing to me.  It was awkward?  Yes, they pushed Cruz to the dinner portion where everyone was stuffing their faces.

Nice try, Donnie.

I was disappointed that I couldn't hear Cruz' speech after ten minutes or so.  I don't know if it happened by accident or by design, but it was disappointing. Trump for some reason talked about restoring the old Commodore Hotel into the Grand Hyatt or whatever it is.  We all know that he's a builder and I really didn't care to hear about it.  It's also disappointing to see Republicans resort to dirty tricks like the Democrats do.

I didn't listen to Kasich because I 've heard him tell how great he was in Washington and Ohio a dozen times. I want to know what they plan for the future.

Like Levin said, if this was Dallas, at a hotel Cruz had involvement with, and this happened, the Trumpers would have melted down.

That's interesting, I hadn't heard Donald was late. Now why wouldn't they let the others go on time and let Donald be last since he was the one who once again...couldn't follow the rules?
You make me wanna roll my windows down and Cruz!

Fox is becoming as bad as CNN. I quit watching them, and the rest of the bobble heads, years ago.
You are absolutely right.

Many of the "reporters" and "presenters" on Fox are getting to be as bad and as shrill as Rachel Madcow's and Chris "I get a tingle up my leg" Matthew's tired arse's over on MSNBC.

Thank God this is the modern era. And we aren't all dependent on ABC, NBC, CBS or the news paper's anymore.
