I really like Congressman Gowdy.  I think he is very courageous.  I don't understand why he doesn't get more attention as a possible presidential candidate.
And he is right about Congress' role in making law and he is right about President Obama ignoring and changing laws duly passed by Congress.  It was a great point to say that he will never stand and applaud a President saying he will make Congress irrevelant.  He is right.  The Hussein Obama administration has violated the Constitution time and time again, as has it's minions, i.e. Holder and the late, unlamented, Kathleen Sibelius.  Isn't it time they are stopped?  Impeachment and conviction is called for, but the crook Harry Reid is in control of the Senate.

The more I watch Gowdy and the more I hear from him the better I like him.  At a minimum we need him as Speaker of The House...better yet we need him as POTUS.

I bet Lindsay Graham is grateful Gowdy did not choose to run for the senate this year. They are both from Upstate SC and that has been Graham's territory and is very conservative.

His record and reputation stand uncompromised in SC.  His achievements here are such as he is doing in Washington.  I made a statement in another post on a different subject that statesmen are gone.  I'd like to correct that statement by saying that Trey Gowdy is what I call a statesman, one of a very few left and we'd better support them when we can.

Trey is a people person.  He was our state prosecutor for a time before he announced his running for congress.  He was not snobbish, would actually talk to the people that he represented.  We had a public forum in Sptbg., before it got so hot that the owners took it down.  Trey would log on and talk about some issues if he was asked.  You could always count on him being fair but very committed to doing the lawful thing.  I see that hasn't changed.  I do wish he would surround himself with a little more security though.  This society has gotten so crazy that good ideals are in the minority and you are subject to any kind of craziness anyone might want to heap on you.

Speaking of good public officials, we have an excellent sheriff in Chuck Wright too.  He has vowed to uphold the ideals of his office and has done so under great criticism.  This is what it takes to keep our freedoms and we have to be able to support our electeds.

May God bless these courageous individuals and give them what they need to succeed.
