Gowdy just introduced an immigration bill which would not only speed up deportations, but it would completely wipe out Barack Obama's illegal executive orders on amnesty. Yes!
Named after Michael Davis, Jr., a sheriff's deputy in California who was killed in the line of duty last year by an illegal immigrant, Gowdy's bill would also provide a work-around for state and local governments to reinforce federal immigration laws while also implementing an annual review of the executive branch's use of prosecutorial discretion in immigration cases.
"If we are serious about finding a long term solution to our immigration system, we must address interior enforcement," Gowdy, the Republican chairman of the Immigration and Border Security Subcommittee, said in a statement announcing the measure.
"This bill, which is one part of the Committee's step-by-step process to address our broken immigration system, will ensure we do not repeat the mistakes of the past and help us earn back the trust of the American public," he added.
If enacted, the bill would completely dismantle what Gowdy describes as Obama's "unilateral, constitutional actions on immigration" by cutting off any and all funds to the initiative. It would also strip Obama and all future presidents of any power to unilaterally shut down immigration enforcement by allowing state and local governments the authorization to enforce federal immigration laws.

Syrian refugees are bad news. Some think the civil war was created in order to produce large refugee migrations to sucker countries such as France and the United States. Moslems control the United Nations. Pam Geller characterizes this as a form of Jihad. Others report jihadists are being told to hold off on the beheadings, be patient. The refugees are not here to assimilate, they never said they were. They are here to establish nations.

Today you can call Gowdy's office (202-225-6030), thank him and tell him to hold hearings (he is chairman of the House subcommittee responsible for the Refugee Program as it is now being administered). We can't stress to you enough that federal contractors, like Lutheran Family Services, cannot sell a refugee resettlement plan to a community by telling citizens the whole truth up front!
In fact, the driving force behind this blog from day one has been our fury over this very point—if it's a good program, then dammit tell the public the whole plan. If you can't sell it with the truth, then it shouldn't be done with secrecy (or emotional appeals using refugees as poster boys and girls). In fact, this is exactly why citizens everywhere are sick of government at all levels, government-funded non-profits like this Lutheran bunch, and our so-called leaders.

But....No matter how they spin this bull shit, Gowdy owns it by his letter "Asking" to be notified one month before.
This exposes three points. One, he knew about it far in advance, and Two, failed to warn his constituents, and Three, did absolutely nothing to stop them.
Now they want to act as if nothing happened, skip past his screw up, claim do over and take credit from here on out.
Don't let this slide Spartanburg, ask questions and demand Gowdy come clean!
Maybe Goudy should preface his remarks with 'stop me if you've heard this before'. He talks a really big game. But I've yet to see any of these miscreants either removed from office, position, or indicted.

passing 'good' legislation that has the support of the vast majority of the American people, serves a two forld purpose.

2. When Obama vetos this and all the other pieces of good legilation that is put on his desk, it destroys the myth of "Republican Obstructists" and "Do Noting Congress".
The Contract with America consisted of 'failed' pieces of good legislations (bills) that has bed sitting around Congress for a long time waiting for someone to come along aho could get it passed.
These pieces of good legislation will become part of the Republican platform for whoever our Republican candidate ultimately is! The Democrats will be running against their own obstructinst voting records and Hillary (or whoever the Democrat candidate is) will have to either go along with Obama's position (against this new contract with America) or pull a Bill Clinton and (reluctantly) support and endorse the Republican plan (while pretenting it was their own). Good points. By controlling both the house and senate the GOP can make democrats, including Obama, go on record. It is the last thing they want going into 2016. Harry Teid protected them for six years, but that party is over. Let Obama whine!

Imo, you can make Obama and the democrats go on the record all you want. It's meaningless to the 40% of Americans whose sole interest lies only in what Santa Claus is going to do for them and not what is best for the country as a whole.
We certainly have a divided country. It is looking like Barack and Hillary are on the way to resurrecting the Democratic Party by pushing it left. There are now 100 million on means tested welfare (not sure, but don't think that includes SS, SSI, Medicare) and the GDO is now pegged at 70% consumer spending, which is sick. That is all part of the "New Economy," redefined by the left wing. If I take my food stamps and buy a bottle of Jack, I have just added to what used to be called the Gross National Product. In reality, that purchase is overhead, expense, to the nation. Same if I am stuck in traffic, burning gas and wasting time. According to the government accountant, I have just contributed to the GDO. It's sick.

And this is the sum of all fears! RUSH was taken by surprize in 2012 and coined the term "low information voters". We all are preaching to the choir, sharing each and every particle of insight into both the system and the individual players. So many, doen't even know basic things about their goverment and who does what or our Constitution and what the law really is and what powers are limited and why.
I am so concerned about the "retard effect" that I am driven to fish! (just go out on the lake and do something a bit more productive than betting on who will ultimately win the paper, rock scissors that's become how we choose our candidates, as well as the President and all our Leaders)
But I don't give up. I come back somewhat refreshed with a glimmer of renewed optimism!
I'm an old guy...but it seems that so many of the younguns who will inherit whatever we do now, just don't seem to care about anything more than what they can get for themselves and they don't even attempt to connect the dots about how much politics and goverment impacts even this basic desire of theirs coming to fruition.
