I don't think that endorsements really make that much difference to many people.  Most people who vote don't vote for someone because a celebrity endorsed them.  If they do vote for the person because of that, then the voter is stupider than I thought.

This helps Romney in the short term. This endorsement has taken all the oxygen out of Romney's gaffe about the poor. long term? Doesn't help or hurt...

This would be like Chavez or Castro giving support to Hussein.
A RINO supporting another RINO really isn't all that helpful, it just cements the fact that Mitten is a RINO.

The older I get, the more convinced I am that the intelligence level of the average voter is abysmally low.  I think our founding fathers were right to have a healthy skepticism about true democracy when it comes to selecting a president, which is whey they set up the electoral college the way they did.

Do you really think a direct vote for president would make us a democracy? I suggest you reference your 7th grade civics text.

I agree.  How the people voted in Obama who never held a job, got elected to the US Senate then campaigned instead of serving/voting is beyond belief.  We are paying for it now and will be for generations.

I wonder how much the Newtmeister paid him to do that.  The Donald don't work cheap, you know.

I wonder if Gingrich felt like he had been punched in the gut when Trump made that announcement.?
