Britain could be outlawed from stocking or distributing them in stores.

Already been banned here in Edmonds, WA (outside of Seattle) - paper bags only! I remember 20 years ago the push was against paper bags since it was causing our "precious old growth forest" to get clear-cut... Now it's all about no plastics.
Some people just have to worry and fret about something, and if there's nothing to worry about, then they'll invent a cause!

They tried to get a state wide ban. The stupidity of the left is astounding. Especially in light of all the noise made about paper. There was never a study or any proof what to ever of significant environmental hazards. The plastic bags are engineered to break down and disintegrate into dust.The invirowhackos just wanted everyone to buy those hemp bags. I despise those people. A handful of people want to dictate to the rest of the country. Every law they get passed chips away our freedom of choice. I swear Indy, it won't be long before some moron insists that hiking trails should be banned because we are injuring life to small to see.
I know it sounds extreme, but when I bought my land more than 20 years ago in the Sierra, I could ride out my door on my quad and drive all the way to Tahoe and not see a soul.
Now, the envirofreaks sued the USFS and won their case that most of the land be locked of to all but foot traffic.
And the pisser is, that these idiots are mostly from the Bay area.
Then theres the Sierra club, another communist backed movement that tries to dictate how and what we do on Gov land.
So what did they force the forest Service to do?
Hire a bunch of kids out of college to patrol the trails in the Summer on dirt bikes.

There has to be a way to fight this growing nonsense. They hire kids to patrol on dirt bikes, to keep people with dirt bikes off the trails made mostly by dirt bikes. Off roaders seldom exit the existing trails, I've never seen someone just plowing through the flora and fauna with a quad or a buggy. That so called government land is "we the peoples" land

I never leave the trail, to easy to hit a stob and puncture a tire, or a rotten tree stump hole and flip.
Which I did by the way on my own land, tree had long disappeared but the hole was still there full of pine needles, never saw it coming.
So you're right, no one in their right mind blazes off in rough terrain.
Horses do far more damage to trails than any quad or dirt bike.
But these idiots just want to lock all humans out, that is their end goal.
Heck, remember - this is the same Government (CA) that decided hydro power isn't green nor renewable! Is anyone surprised?
Hell, they even forced power companies into generating 10% of their from renewables, then when they tried to build solar farms, the envirowackos took them to court over things like lizard habitat.
There is no limit to their stupidity.
