What was that Bull Shit about picking the best and brightest for Trump's Cabinet?
Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz took the first six national delegates awarded in Colorado, winning all the seats elected at two congressional district conventions Saturday.
Of the six delegates and six alternates elected, 10 pledged support to the Texas senator and two is unpledged.
Donald Trump supporters made loud noise at the conventions and John Kasich put formed a three-delegate slate — but both candidates were shut out.
The overwhelming win showcased the Cruz campaign's months-long efforts behind the scenes in Colorado, led by U.S. Rep. Ken Buck with help from grassroots organizations, Gun Owners of America and the Faith and Freedom Coalition.
The six awarded Saturday represent just a fraction of the 34 delegates Colorado will award in the next week. The remaining three of the state's 37 total are party leaders who are so far unpledged.
Colorado canceled its binding straw poll, forcing the campaigns to fight through the caucus process for candidates who may remain unbound to the national convention. Each of the state's seven congressional districts elect three delegates to Cleveland and the final 13 are picked at the state GOP convention April 9 in Colorado Springs.
The early results affirm that the state's caucus system favors the candidate with the best organization, despite dedicated fans for Trump.

Looking at your above post, a thought occurred to me. How many states would Trump have won if they didn't have early voting and open primaries?

BINGO!! The rules are set up to keep the party's decisions from being made by people outside the party.

Which begs the questions why they allow open primaries as well as not being up in arms about early voting.
Me too
They may be pot heads, but they are not stupid!

I did a bit of research on that issue, it appears the Establishment did it to help their frllow RINO by allowing libs to cross party line to help a fellow lib running with an (R) by their name.
You know, like Trump.
Ok, so I am going to let my ignorance show and ask, What does this mean? I thought the past delegates went to the proposed candidates??
(I will check in after a bit, got a farm to run and folks headed out to buy some fertile hatching eggs  )
Not exactly yuuuge for Trump.

Basically that Trump is losing ground to Cruz after claiming he will pick the best and brightest to be on his leadership team.
In other words, it's an example of how out of Cruz' league Trump is when it comes to organizing, and that Trump's suppoed early lead is disengrating before his eyes.
Just watch, this is only the beginning of Trump's plummet from grace as more and more people abandon the NY Libs base of support.
North Dakota just 'assigned' delegates to the Repubs... without voting?
Cruz.... 18
Trump..... 1
Undecided... 6
I don't get it.

It is called sanity.
Oh I get it now.. Delegates are awarded when a Candidate "wins" a state in a Caucus or Primary but what Cruz is working at now is going back to those states and garnering support in case nobody reaches 1246 and we have a Contested Convention. Most are bound by the first vote but are free after that to put their delegates where they choose..
I knew all that but for some reason it didn't click with the above story :blushing:

Yes... plus, Kasich and Rubio delegates will be freed, and they will go to Cruz.....
Here is the Congressional District map for CO so people know just what the areas District 1 and 6 cover - the 2 districts that Cruz has currently won.

And there are more people in those two districts than the rest of the state combined!
District 1 is represented by Diane DeGette, a certified socialist `RAT. while District 6 (mine) has Mike Coffman (R) who is a step or two above her.
