BERLIN— Ronald Reagan loved Berlin. For the German capital, things are more complicated.

For years, the city's successive governments have resisted gentle prodding by U.S. dignitaries to erect a statue of the late president, who famously called in a 1987 speech here on his Soviet counterpart Mikhail Gorbachev to tear down the Wall that had divided the city since 1961.

Now, the Trump administration has decided to break the stalemate by simply putting up a Reagan statue on the U.S. Embassy's terrace overlooking the spot where the speech took place.

The 7-foot statue, partially visible from the street, will be formally inaugurated by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Nov. 8, a day before the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Far too many communists from the former East Berlin and East Germany gained power and influence in the new reunified Germany.  Never forget that Vladimir Putin's work for the Kremlin KGB was in East Berlin/East Germany working with Stasi (The Ministry for State Security or State Security Service) throughout the Cold War. He has a lot of contacts in Germany who are now in very strategic positions and this impacts a lot of what Germany does these days. "Mr. Gorbechev, tear down this wall" doesn't play well in the Kremlin!

In spite of it all, Trump still erected a statue of Reagan.

Trump is leading the Right Wing Nationalists Movement which is emerging in Germany, Great Britain, France and the rest of the EU. The Marxists/GLobalists want to call this a NAZI/White Supremacy Movement.  President Trump tells it like it is; it is a matter of free, independent, sovereign nations, standing up for their own people and making their national interest first!  We then can engage in bilateral agreements when it is in our mutual interest to do so.
