Everything is on the line for McConnell in Tuesday's Alabama Senate primary

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) was already facing a perilous week ahead: another attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act, a critical special election in Alabama and a first glimpse of the framework for a massive tax cut.

By Friday night, the repeal effort was hanging by the barest of threads, and President Trump wasn't happy about it — venting at a high-profile campaign stop about the apparent impending failure.

All of it leaves McConnell, who a few days ago was poised to score his best in the Trump era, desperately trying to mitigate his losses.......

........Losses on both the policy agenda and the political arena in a single week would be brutal for McConnell — and could lead to another round of recriminations inside a Republican Party that is beset by division.......

......Politically, this legislative quagmire probably inspires more conservatives to follow the path of Roy Moore. The controversial former state judge is challenging Strange by labeling him a McConnell crony — a member of an establishment that continues to flounder in Washington.....

Moore could pull off the win with the backing of Stephen K. Bannon, the ousted White House strategist.....The ultimate goal? More funding for more primary challengers ahead of next year's midterm elections. ............

Why? Was he ever truly irrelevant? It seems like he spent his career being a willing doormat.

McConnell is the best ally the Democrats could have asked for in the Senate.

The McConnell agenda is whatever the Democrats ask for, his task is to justify the GOP losses & keep his job.

Repealing Obamacare is DOA and every republican is to blame because none of them thought to write a bill and McConnell never thought to make sure there was a good bill ready to go.

McConnell's only interest is in helping his buddies on the other side of the aisle. Sooner or later it's going to cost him his job; either that or his age will finally cause him to retire and what a better place the Senate will be.

...."No matter who wins today, one thing is certain: "Swamp King" Mitch McConnell and his allies have spared no expense to bolster the candidate who will unquestioningly fall in line with leadership. Rather than saving vital resources to go after vulnerable Democrats in 2018, McConnell's leadership PAC and allies have spent nearly $10 million to try and stop a conservative from becoming a U.S. senator....

Assuming they want Dims to lose. They'd much rather a Dim win than a Conservative, they proved that when they bailed on TEA and helped Terry Mcauliffe win the Governor's seat.

Other great news, which couldn't come quick enough, Bob Corker (RINO TN), has decided to exit the swamp and not run for reelection 2018.

As one who was working in TN during Corker's first run, he came across as more of a cut-spending conservative in his adverts.
The truth came out, shortly after he move to DC.

They also proved that when they failed to back Cruz.

That wasn't failure, that was downright sabotage.
