Do you belong to a tribe? I'm not sure what I mean by that question.
I supposedly have native American ancestors on both sides, (according to family stories) but haven't been able to prove it.

Your DNA test will. Mine did. My mom said there was Indian blood on her side, one of those "behind the wood pile" stories, and low and behold, the DNA test proved it.
Though in her time, it was seen as a negative, unlike today where libs see it as a free lunch ticket to the govt teat.

No when I left the reservations I did not look back. That's when I became a full blooded American. My wife has some native blood also, her Great Grandfather was a medicine man.

No, if memory serves me correctly, they only delineated between two groups of natives in Northh America.

My ancestry is Eastern Band Cherokee Hoofer, and I agree completely. I'm not offended by a stupid NFL team name, or logo.
I believe in families getting together and celebrating traditional holiday's such as Christmas and Thanksgiving.
And I'm not a native, or indigenous, hyphenated anything.
I'm an American. And thankful for it too.
Liberals note the period.

If I remember right, they delineated between North American Eskimos migrating Southward and South Americans migrating North and intermixing in what would be the US and Canada today.
There was no mention of tribes, as that would come much later in history.
